When it comes to makeup trends for Spring ’17, there’s one thing that can’t be denied…color makes a comeback.  From eye-popping, color-washed eyes to bright party-girl lips, this season’s makeup colors are in full bloom.

Here are five chart-topping trends to help you get the look for Spring ’17:

Go for the Glow

Healthy, dewy skin is the focus this season.  Look for skin-illuminating highlighters to give your skin a glowing, radiant look. Apply to bare skin to create a healthy glow or apply over your makeup for glamorous highlights.  For a highlighting powder, I like Stila All Over Shimmer Powder in Kitten.  For liquid, I like the Josie Maran Argan Enlightenment Illuminizer.

Let Them See You Blush

Unlike seasons past, this season’s blush is meant to be seen.  Apply to cheeks and blend toward the temples.  For a more dramatic effect, apply shades with a touch of shimmer or top with your skin-illuminating highlighter.

Pretty in Pink

Shades of pink were in bloom on runways this spring…from cheeks to eyes, lips and nails.  Let your blush do double-duty this season by using it for both cheek and eye color, and compliment with a matching gloss and nail color.

Hot Lips

No trend report is complete without some mention of a bold red lip, and this season is no exception.  Red lips donned the runways this season, as did shades of peach, electric orange, fuchsia and purple.  To rock this look, keep eye makeup and cheek color neutral, and let your lips do the talking.

Eye Candy

For a dramatic look this spring, look for eyeshadows in shades of blue, green, teal, hot pink or purple, applied in a single-shade application to give your eyes a pop of color.  This look is best balanced with dewy, highlighted skin and a soft, glossy lip.
